Behind Happy Hoof Studio
Meet Krys
Hindman.
Krys is the artist behind Happy Hoof Studio, making expressive equine and animal art in charcoal, watercolor, and other styles using Procreate.
Her work pays close attention to the small things that make an animal feel like themselves: a marking, a gaze, a familiar bit of personality.

A practice built on persistence
Art has always meant finding her own way.
Krys is a disabled artist who creates using her mouth and is blind in one eye. The work is not about the limitation. It is about patient observation, a deep love of animals, and making each subject feel seen.

The studio
From quiet studies to bold, bright pieces.
Happy Hoof Studio holds a range of work, from emotive charcoal horse portraits and watercolor prints to personal commissions and playful illustrations.
